How to connect Invoiless to Claude, ChatGPT and other AI assistants

MCP (Model Context Protocol) is a standard way to connect AI assistants to other apps. Connect Invoiless once, then ask your assistant about unpaid invoices, add customers, draft invoices and record payments by chat.

The assistant acts as you, within your permissions, and can never delete anything.

1. Go to your "Settings > MCP" page.
2. Open Claude and click Open in Claude.
3. In Claude, click Add, then Add custom connector.
4. Set the name to Invoiless and paste the server URL: https://mcp.invoiless.com
5. Click Add, then Connect.
6. On the Invoiless screen, pick the Business and the Access, then click Allow.

💡 Connecting apps to ChatGPT requires a paid ChatGPT plan.

1. Go to your "Settings > MCP" page.
2. Open ChatGPT and click Open in ChatGPT.
3. Turn on Developer mode and click New Plugin.
4. Set the name to Invoiless and the MCP server URL to https://mcp.invoiless.com
5. Leave authentication on OAuth and submit.
6. On the Invoiless screen, pick the Business and the Access, then click Allow.

In your terminal, run one of these commands.

Then:

1. Start Claude Code, run /mcp and choose invoiless.
2. In your browser, pick the Business and the Access, then click Allow.

1. Go to your "Settings > MCP > Connected apps" page.
2. Find the app and click Disconnect.
3. Confirm with Disconnect.

Admins see every app connected to the business. Members see only their own.

Admins can stop members from connecting AI assistants to the business.

1. Go to your "Settings > MCP > Connected apps" page.
2. Turn off Members can connect apps.
3. Confirm with Turn off.

⚠️ Heads up: Apps already connected by members are disconnected right away. Admins can always connect apps.
